about caesar's ancestry. i am not ballad friendly. caesar's father is not lucky flickerman. his grandparent generation on his mother's side (the flickermans) lost their wealth before president snow came into power. his parents are lower middle class, with his mother working as an assistant to a designer and his father—disliked by the flickermans—working as a chef right above avoxes.
caesar family history is therefore one of past riches and a pressure to return the family to glory. detailed information here. more to follow soon!about caesar's view of games. caesar used to be a believer of the system. he hadn't been taught anything else, as most capitol citizens, and did not have the luxury to question them. once he became a host, and saw the plight of the tributes from a different perspective, his view changed. this wasn't a quick process, but will nonetheless affect the relationship he has with tributes and victors. detailed information to follow.about caesar being a rebel. caesar was the first capitol person that was recruited by plutarch heavensbee. he has been part of the rebellion since its early stages post the second quarter quell, the beginning of the rebellion. caesar's part is to recruit victors who might be in favour of their cause. this means if your victor is a rebel, they have been recruited by caesar. i assume this as the default unless we specifically have discussed otherwise. the rebellion is NOT a cause come together briefly before the third quarter quell, therefore older victors have been recruited not long after their games (max. a few years). the only exception are, of course, katniss and peeta. detailed information here.about caesar's presence in mockingjay. caesar stayed behind in the capitol and aided in giving information about the imprisoned victors to district thirteen. i follow book canon here where caesar did only TWO interviews with peeta. he tried to aid the victors as best as he could (and as limited as it truly was). shortly after the second interview, caesar is arrested. initially, that was it until the end of the war, with me having an au verse where he would escape with the victors to thirteen. as that became a default interaction, it is now considered canon. caesar arrives in thirteen with a broken leg, a bruised body, and shaven hair. he does propos for district thirteen, not much to his delight. detailed information to follow.about caesar after the war. several months post war, caesar is approached by cressida to film a series that showcases the rebuilding efforts throughout panem. that show aids in funding going to the right places. he might visit your muse during that time! an unspecified amount of years later (up to plotting) he will be present during a reunion of rebels and victors for an anniversary. this can be a year later, five, ten, and is left unspecified for plotting purposes. detailed information to follow.

the first time you caught sight of the interviews, you were five. legs crossed and back upright. your wide eyes captured the beauty of every district. your lips and belly laughed along the questions. you didn’t know what the hunger games were and your parents scurried you out of the living room. but they could not diminish your fervour. just as the host of the past had made you smile, you, too, wanted to make people smile. at first, that meant different stages and a different audience. but you were pulled to the stage that truly had mattered. the first time you stood there, twenty-two years old, the glamour of the games began to fade away.the outer layer: what they see

young caesar grew up fascinated with the capitol's entertainment. his dream had been to stand on stage. any stage, for that matter. but the money was good, and his family needed the aid. yet, the boy who used to enthuse about the dresses and tributes grows to learn more about the games. dead tributes he cannot simply forget anymore and how they looked at him with a fear and hope. he wants to give them all a fair chance, but at what cost?ALL MEN AND WOMEN ARE MERELY PLAYERS.
50 — 75 ADD.
caesar established the rebel group alongside his friend plutarch heavensbee a few years after the 50th quarter quell. they continue to form connections across the districts and within the capitol. caesar’s main task is finding and recruiting victors loyal to their cause to wait in the shadows for a rebellion to shape. the group itself places allies in favourable positions and tries to find the spark that could start a rebellion. yet, twenty-five years of waiting are a long time. hope ignited after the 50th seems to fade away until a girl on fire comes along. can she change the nation?ONE MAN IN HIS TIME PLAYS MANY PARTS.
75 ADD (war time).
the 75th arena breaks down. caesar stays behind in the capitol to assure the safety of the victors. pretending to be loyal toward the president, caesar interviews peeta mellark twice and attempts to aid the imprisoned victors. shortly after the second interview, caesar's activities are uncovered and he is placed in a prison cell himself. tortured to reveal the deeper plans of the rebellion, caesar escapes with fractured bones and a broken leg several weeks later along with peeta, johanna, and annie. a shadow of his former self, he remains in thirteen until the end of the war. alas, not without having to partake in the propaganda as well. the viewers can barely recognise the former host.AND SO HE PLAYS HIS PARTS.

post war and the end of mockingjay, caesar tries to find a new purpose in the ruins of panem. continuing what he did best, caesar reports on the efforts of rebuilding with a camera team to give panem hope that a better future is ahead. he does what he has done best: making others smile in dark times.

at a young age, caesar had lost everything. a father who had gambled their mansion and earnings into nothing, and a mother who then scrubbed the floors of pubs to keep the money up. he had wanted to become a sailor, then, to make money. yet, far away stories of treasures he had heard from as a child turn to be real, and the money in the navy runs thin. sending gold ever so often, caesar begins to search for wealth on the other side of the law. years pass by, and he never returns to his mother.ROYALTY. setting: 17th century england
